Dynamoney is a broker-only business lender with an asset finance book, a term loan, an overdraft and insurance premium funding. It says it has backed more than 25,000 Australian SMEs since 2015, funded over $5bn and works with more than 3,000 broker partners. The lending entity is Dynamoney Limited, which holds an Australian credit licence.

What makes Dynamoney easy to profile is that it publishes its “must haves” for every product. That’s unusual, and useful: you can tell in a few minutes whether you’re in the zone before a broker spends time on your file. The details below are taken from its website as at October 2026.

Dynamoney’s products side by side

Asset finance Business loan Business overdraft Insurance premium funding
How much Up to $1m $20k to $500k $20k to $500k $1k to $5m
Non-property owners Lower limits than owners Up to $100k Up to $100k No property needed
Term Varies by asset Up to 5 years (may be 36 months without property) 3-year revolving facility 10 or 12 monthly instalments
ABN/GST registration 12+ months 12+ months 36+ months Typically 24+ months
Director credit score 550+ 550+ 550+ No adverse history

A few details from the fine print are worth knowing. The overdraft needs a personal guarantee, and some industries can only get it on a property-owner basis. Business loans and overdrafts above $300k need full financials, and property security comes into play above $200k. Premium funding may need financials where the non-cancellable part of the premium exceeds $100k, or where funding exceeds $200k.

What does Dynamoney’s asset finance cover?

Dynamoney sorts its asset finance into four buckets, for new and used assets:

  • Cars and light commercial: cars, utes and road-registrable vehicles under 4.5 tonnes that need only a standard licence
  • Trucks, wheels and tracks: trucks, trailers, buses and caravans, plus agricultural and access equipment
  • Plant and equipment: plant, manufacturing machinery, solar and clean technology, and yellow goods attachments
  • Other business assets: office technology, portable buildings, scaffolding, fit-outs, refrigeration and drones

Broker testimonials on its site also mention medical equipment and solar as areas of strength. That breadth matters if your purchase is a bit unusual: a portable site office or a coolroom is harder to place with lenders that only fund primary assets. Our guide to asset finance explains how lenders rank assets and why secondary assets usually cost more.

Why does the 550 director score matter?

A score of 550 isn’t a high bar on the 0 to 1,000 and 0 to 1,200 scales Australian credit bureaus use. But Dynamoney publishes it as a hard floor, so a director with a recent default, several missed payments or a cluster of fresh credit enquiries could fall below it without realising. Before your broker submits, it’s worth checking your own file for free. Our credit score glossary entry explains what moves the number, and our page on business loans with a low credit score covers the options if you’re under the line.

The other gate is time. Twelve months of ABN and GST registration rules out very new businesses for most products, and the overdraft’s 36-month requirement is stricter still.

A worked example: owner versus non-owner

Two electricians, each trading for three years with similar turnover and a director score above 600, want $150k for working capital.

  • Electrician A owns a home. They sit inside Dynamoney’s property-owner limits for the business loan and could ask for the full $150k over a term of up to five years, with property security likely to apply above $200k.
  • Electrician B rents. The business loan caps them at $100k, and the term may be held to 36 months, which makes each repayment noticeably larger.

Electrician B isn’t stuck. They might combine a $100k loan with asset finance for a van the business needs anyway, freeing cash elsewhere. Or they could look at an unsecured business loan from a lender with higher non-property limits. Run both scenarios through our business loan repayment calculator before choosing.

Who should consider Dynamoney, and who shouldn’t?

Dynamoney is worth a look for established businesses with clean-ish credit that want a single broker relationship covering equipment, working capital and insurance. Property owners get the most out of it.

It is less suited to businesses under 12 months old, directors with scores below 550, and anyone wanting to apply without a broker. If your main need is an overdraft and you’ve been trading less than three years, compare a business line of credit from an online lender.

If Dynamoney can’t help

Declines here usually come back to one of three things: time in business, credit score or the property question. For newer businesses, see business loans for an ABN under 12 months. If credit is the issue, specialist and private lenders assess case by case. If you own property but need more than $500k, a property-secured facility through HomeSec Business Finance may reach further.

Comparable lenders with profiles here include Flexicommercial, Metro Finance and, for working capital, Shift.

Know your numbers? Let’s see which lender says yes

The nice thing about published criteria is that they tell you where you stand. The frustrating thing is that every lender’s criteria are different, and the one that fits you best might not be the one you’ve heard of.

Sorting through that is our job. The form is short (count on a minute, give or take), asking triggers no credit check, so your score won’t budge. Your details aren’t fired off to dozens of lenders. Instead, one of our specialists studies your circumstances and rings you. Be precise about your trading history, property and credit, and we’ll steer you to a lender that fits first time.

Frequently asked questions

What credit score does Dynamoney need?

As at October 2026, Dynamoney lists a minimum director credit score of 550 for its asset finance, business loan and overdraft. Insurance premium funding instead asks for a satisfactory credit assessment with no adverse history.

How long do I need to have been in business?

Dynamoney asks for at least 12 months of ABN and GST registration for asset finance and business loans, and at least 36 months for its business overdraft. For premium funding it typically looks for 24 months but says newer businesses may be considered.

Can I borrow from Dynamoney without owning property?

Yes, but the limits are lower. Its business loan and overdraft cap non-property owners at $100k, against $500k for property owners, and business loan terms may be limited to 36 months if you don't own property. Property owners may also qualify for higher asset finance limits.

Can I apply to Dynamoney myself?

Dynamoney works through accredited brokers, who submit the application for you. Its website encourages businesses to speak to a broker first.

What documents will Dynamoney ask for?

For a business loan, expect ID and at least six months of bank statements, with full financials for loans over $300k. Asset finance documents depend on the asset and the deal, and some applications are auto-decisioned with minimal paperwork.

Does Dynamoney's premium funding need a guarantee?

Dynamoney says its insurance premium funding needs no property security or directors' guarantees, and that you can combine policies from different insurers into one monthly repayment over 10 or 12 months.
