The first thing to know about Azora Finance is that it sorts business borrowers by age. Not the owner’s age, the business’s. Trading for two years or more puts you in one product; trading for six months to two years puts you in another. That split tells you a lot about how Azora thinks about risk, and it’s a useful shortcut for working out whether you’re likely to fit.

What follows is based on Azora’s own website as at October 2026. Azora publishes the shape of its products but not the numbers, so you won’t find loan limits or terms here, and you won’t find any rates anywhere on this site.

What does Azora Finance offer businesses?

Azora’s business offering is asset finance: funding to buy vehicles, equipment and machinery, with the asset itself securing the loan. It runs two tiers.

Streamline Accelerate
Built for Established businesses Emerging businesses
Time in business 2+ years From 6 months
Positioning Speed, clarity and bigger-ticket funding Simple criteria and fast decisions
Assets Vehicles, equipment, machinery Vehicles, equipment, machinery
Deposit Not required Not required

Across both, Azora promotes three things: a low-doc process with fewer hurdles, decisions driven by automation, and flexible terms matched to the business. It doesn’t say on the product page what “low-doc” means in practice (for example, at what loan size full financials kick in), so ask whoever submits your application.

Azora also lends car loans and home loans to individuals, but those sit outside this profile.

Which Azora tier would you fall into?

This is mostly a calendar question, though trading history isn’t the only test.

  • Under six months: neither tier, based on what Azora publishes. See our guide to business loans with an ABN under 6 months for options that can work from day one.
  • Six months to two years: Accelerate. This is the band many asset lenders avoid, so a product aimed squarely at it is genuinely useful for younger businesses.
  • Two years or more: Streamline, which Azora describes as its flagship, suited to larger purchases.

Time in business gets you to the right product; it doesn’t guarantee approval. Credit history, how the business banks, the asset’s age and value and whether the repayment fits your cash flow all still count.

A worked example: one machine, two businesses

Here’s an illustration of how the tiers might play out. The businesses and figures are invented for the example.

Business A is a landscaping company with four years of trading and steady deposits. It wants a $95k compact track loader. This sits naturally in Streamline: established, a recognisable asset, and a purchase large enough that a simpler process saves real time.

Business B is a concreting crew that registered its ABN 10 months ago and has a full order book. It wants a $38k tipper. Under many lenders’ policies it’s too new. Under Azora’s published tiers it would fall into Accelerate, assessed on simpler criteria.

Neither example tells you the cost. That depends on the term, any balloon or residual, fees and the lender’s pricing for your risk. Run both scenarios through our equipment finance calculator to see how term length changes the total you’d pay in dollars.

Already know the asset and the price? Send us the details and we’ll suggest which lenders, Azora or otherwise, are worth approaching for your trading history.

What a no-deposit offer really means

Azora says its asset finance doesn’t need a deposit, which keeps money in your account for wages, fuel and materials. That’s the point of asset finance for many owners.

Just keep in mind that borrowing the full price means you’re financing more, so the total interest bill over the term is higher than if you’d put money down. Set that against what the cash would earn if you kept it in the business. Our page on equipment finance versus paying cash works through that trade-off.

Questions worth asking before you sign

  1. Which tier am I being offered, and why? Know whether you’ve landed in Streamline or Accelerate.
  2. What paperwork is actually needed at my loan size? Low-doc thresholds vary.
  3. What’s the total payable over the term, in dollars? Include establishment fees, monthly fees and any end-of-term amount.
  4. What structure is it? A chattel mortgage, lease or hire purchase each treat GST and ownership differently. Ask your accountant.
  5. Can I finish early, and at what cost? Ask for the payout rules on paper.

Six months in, or six years? Find the lender that fits your stage

Azora built two products because a young business and a mature one need different things from a lender. We think about it the same way. Before you commit to any single financier, let us look at where your business actually sits.

Filling in our form takes about a minute, and the enquiry itself never shows up on your credit report. Your application isn’t fired off to every financier in the country, so expect one call rather than twenty. Instead, someone on our team reviews your situation and gets in touch personally. Give us accurate trading dates, turnover and asset details, because that accuracy is what lets us steer you right on the first attempt.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between Azora Streamline and Accelerate?

Streamline is Azora's flagship asset finance product for established businesses with two or more years of trading, aimed at bigger-ticket funding. Accelerate is for emerging businesses from six months in business, with simpler criteria and fast decisions. Both fund vehicles, equipment and machinery.

Can a business trading under a year get Azora asset finance?

Possibly. As at October 2026 Azora's Accelerate product is open to businesses from six months in business. Under six months, you'd need to look at other lenders or a property-secured option.

Does Azora Finance need a deposit?

Its website says no deposit is required for its asset finance, which helps preserve cash. Whether you're approved for the full amount still depends on the asset, your trading history and your credit profile.

Is Azora Finance a bank?

No. Azora Finance Group is a non-bank lender. It also offers car loans and home loans to individuals, but its business offering is asset finance for vehicles, equipment and machinery.

What are my options if Azora declines my application?

Find out whether the issue was trading time, credit history, the asset or affordability. Other equipment financiers weigh these differently, and if you own property, a secured loan can fund the purchase. You can also enquire with us without a credit check.
